As I sat quietly in the distance, I watched with anticipation a little boy holding tightly to his dad. “Are you ready,” the father would say to his son. In the shallow end of the swimming pool, the father was attempting to teach his child how to swim for the very first time. The youngster was excited about the new adventure yet a little apprehensive about all it included. The daddy’s plan for instructing his son involved holding on to him as he swam.
