Above all else, speak words of life into your child. Your child never needs to hear from you that they are bad, evil, or that he or she will never amount to anything, and so forth. Please never scream at your child. Treat them as you want them to act and the way you would want to be treated. As tempting as it is sometimes, you would not want to be screamed at and neither do they. Besides, it can cause anxiety in your child, while other children just learn to tune you out and ignore you. You above all others need to show them unconditional love and kindness on a daily basis. Cherish your child and know that you are representing Our Heavenly Father to your child.
